xAI’s Grok Comes Out Next Week And Will Be One Of X’s Core Feature

10 months ago 51

Elon Musk released xAI’s first chatbot, Grok, earlier this month. At the time, Musk said Grok offers an advantage over other chatbots as it is uncensored and adds a touch of humor to its responses. Now, X’s CEO has confirmed the launch date of Grok, along with other features we were unaware of. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming AI chatbot.

Grok Can Write Social Media Posts

In response to an X (formerly known as Twitter) user asking whether Grok can write posts, Elon Musk confirmed that Grok can write social media posts. Another user asked the billionaire whether Grok would be accessible within the X app, to which he responded, “Front and center,” implying that the microblogging platform will integrate its AI chatbot heavily into its app.

I wonder if Grok will be able to write my posts

At a time when technology giants like Google and Microsoft are pushing their AI products, X’s focus on integrating Grok reflects the company’s strategy. Musk doesn’t want to X to stay behind and lose traction in any way. Although limiting Grok to paying users might limit its user base, especially since AI chatbots by OpenAI and Google are available to free users, Grok’s presence in X should provide users with a personalized user experience.

Here’s What We Want Grok To Do

At the moment, we don’t know Grok’s full capabilities. It would be helpful if Grok helps users find out the origin of a tweet, recognize the content in images or videos, help users write captions for their tweets, suggest responses to DMs or comments, and fetch users all the information about a topic. However, all of this remains conjecture at the moment, and more details will only show up once Grok is available to more users.

Grok To Be Available To Premium+ Users

In a thread on Twitter, @icreatelife says that Grok’s cognitive quality lies between GPT 3 and 4, but “it’s much better in other aspects.” Further, Musk has also confirmed that Grok will be available to Premium+ subscribers starting the week of November 27, 2023. For the uninitiated, Premium+ costs $16 per month or $168 per year on the web. The Premium+ tier costs Rs. 1,300 or Rs. 13,600 annually in India.
