Week 47 in review: Galaxy S24 to come on Jan 17, OnePlus 12 on December 4

The Samsung Galaxy S24 series is coming on January 17 and will go on pre-order likely on the same day. Expect some pre-order deals as is usual with Samsung's flagship offerings. The phones will then go on sale two weeks later.

When the Redmi Note 13 series arrives, expect the Pro to have a 5G version, powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, and an LTE-only model with another chip in charge.

The Red Magic 9 Pro and Pro+ from ZTE's nubia gaming brand are official. Both new devices feature the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, refined designs, shoulder keys, and RGB cooling fans. The two models share the same basic hardware with the differences coming in the battery capacity, charging, and RAM capacity.

Red Magic 9 comes with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256/512GB UFS 4.0 storage while the 9 Pro+ variant is configurable with 16/24GB RAM and up to 1TB of storage. The Red Magic 9 features a 6,500 mAh battery with 80W wired charging while the 9 Pro+ gets a smaller 5,500 mAh battery with support for 165W fast charging. Red Magic 9 Pro starts at CNY 4,399 ($620) for the baseline 8/256GB trim, while the Red Magic 9 Pro+ starts at CNY 5,499 ($775) for the 16/256GB trim.

The OnePlus 12's announcement is on December 4 and the phone will likely make a global entrance sometime in January.
