As of now, if one wants to use the edit feature on their tweets, they are required to pay for Twitter Blue which costs $4.99 each month. Let’s check out this update by Twitter in detail!

Twitter Edit feature to be free for everyone

As of now, Twitter’s edit function is only available to subscribers of Twitter Blue, so anyone who pays $5 a month can use this feature. However, this feature has still not been made free, meaning not everyone can use it, until now.

Because according to a report from Platformer’s Casey Newton, Twitter is soon planning to make the edit button free for everyone, not just Twitter Blue subscribers.

How to edit a Tweet?

In case you’re already a Twitter Blue subscriber, then you can follow the steps below in order to edit a tweet:

  • Select the Tweet that you’re willing to edit.
  • Next, tap the 3 dots and open the More menu.
  • There, you’ll find the Edit Tweet option, click on it.
  • Now you can make changes to your tweet.
