The Motorola Edge phones get Prime Day discounts in the US, the UK and Germany

The Edge series from Motorola often offer great value for money and the 2023 generations is no exception.

The Motorola Edge+ (2023) in the US is equipped with 8GB of RAM and 512GB storage. It pairs the fast Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with an equally fast 165Hz AMOLED display (6.67” FHD+). It has a 50MP main (1/1.55” with OIS) and 50MP ultra wide (114°) cameras, plus a 12MP portrait module (2x). All of this is powered by a 5,100mAh battery with 68W wired and 15W wireless charging. The phone is IP68 dust and water resistant to boot.

The Motorola Edge 40 Pro in Europe is very nearly the same phone, except this one is configured with 12GB of RAM and 256GB storage. The only other major change is that the Euro phone has a smaller 4,600mAh battery with 125W wired charging (it keeps wireless at 15W).

The vanilla Motorola Edge 40 is not (yet) available in the US, but it’s an interesting option for Europeans. It has a 144Hz 6.56” OLED display (FHD+) and a Dimensity 8020. It is rated IP68 too and you can have a faux-leather back, if that’s your thing. The camera isn’t as capable with a 50MP main (1/1.55, OIS) and 13MP ultra wide (120°), no zoom lens, plus a 4,400mAh battery with 68W wired and 15W wireless charging.

The Motorola ThinkPhone feels like it’s aimed more at businesses than at individuals. Still, there’s nothing stopping you from getting this Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 phone with a 6.6” 144Hz display (FHD+) and 5,000mAh battery (68W wired, 15W wireless). It has a 50MP main (1/1.5”, OIS) and 13MP ultra wide (120°), plus a 32MP selfie. Besides the IP68 rating, this one is also MIL-STD-810H compliant.
