The Google Play Stores latest update is more significant than ever

1 year ago 70

Google Play Store is most Android users' go-to first-party app download platform. As a result, the Play Store has received several updates, like opting for the Material You design, redesigning the UI on Android tablets and Chromebooks, and upgrading with different Android versions.

Google Play Store is the platform users reach out to when thinking about updating Android apps, and the update section of the app has now seen an interface upgrade. The older rectangular buttons are pill-shaped ones with the Material You redesigned. In addition, the buttons to update the apps individually or all together are now bigger than ever. The new tweak in the update button appears in the Pending downloads screen.

The New Update in the Play Store

The taller buttons are rolling out widely, but it is a server-side change; hence, some users may need to wait a bit before seeing the UI tweak on their devices. However, most Android devices are already spotting the upgrade, and other users can expect it soon.

The Play Store also has a new bug triggered by the Data Safety Section found in every app listing, which could cause the app to crash for some people, but most reportedly remain unaffected. However, it appears to be a device-specific issue rather than a problem with the Google account, so the Play Store could crash on some phones while generally working on others.
