Sony unveils trio of X-series wireless speakers

Sony has added three new wireless speakers to its range with the SRS-XG300, SRS-XE300 and SRS-XE200. The trio offer Sony X-Balanced non-circular speaker units with dual passive radiators. XG300 is the largest speaker (318x138x136mm/3KG weight) of the trio and brings up to 25-hours of playtime and LED lighting effects. XE300 offers 24-hour playtime with a 10-minute quick charge netting 70 minutes of playtime. The smaller XE200 gets 16-hours of playtime.

All three speakers come with IP67 water and dust resistance, multipoint connection with up to two devices via Bluetooth 5.2 as well as support for Google Fast Pair and the SBC, AAC and LDAC audio codecs. They also bring Echo Canceling which promises optimal voice capture and a manual switch for the built-in microphone in case you quickly need to mute yourself during a call.

In addition, Sony’s Battery Care feature is available via the Music Center app to prevent the speakers’ batteries from overcharging and thus preserve their longevity.

Sony SRS-XG300 will be available in grey and black colors starting at €300/£259. SRS-XE300 comes in grey, black and blue colors for €200/£169 while the XE200 (€150/£139) comes in grey, black, orange and blue colors. All three models are set to go on open sale from July.
