Snapchat Plus will offer users the option to set custom notifications and add Snap stories for a week

Snapchat, via its newsroom, announced that it is adding four new features for Snapchat+ users. Snapchat+ launched earlier this year with some add-on features. However, the app usually focuses on general updates. Still, it has been more aggressive lately and focuses on providing exciting features to its paid subscribers by debuting new features monthly. Last month, Snapchat released new iOS 16 Lock Screen widgets, Chat Shortcuts, and Snapchat Web for all users. In addition, the Snapchat+ subscription plan costs an extra $3.99 per month and is available in 170 countries.

New Snapchat features

Snapchat Plus users will now be able to set a custom time for their Snap Story. So, Plus users can set a period of a few hours or one week at max when posting a new snap, giving their friends and family more time to enjoy their story before it expires. Secondly, one of the more exciting parts of the latest update is setting a customized notification tone for your friend so that you can quickly identify which friend has snapped at you. Unfortunately, Snapchat hasn't added any custom sound options, but there are seven alternate sound options that you can select.

Additionally, Plus users will now be able to set different color camera borders, choosing from eight colors to make pictures more vibrant when you make a snap. Furthermore, it has added three exclusive Bitmoji Backgrounds for October, celebrating Halloween. Unfortunately, while this is a good update for Snapchat users, the business side of things doesn't seem to be going well, with the company reporting that it missed its revenue goal for this quarter
