After the Galaxy S24 series, Korean tech giant Samsung released a new power bank. For now, the accessory is only available in the United Kingdom, but there’s a good chance the company will also sell it in other regions. Dubbed the Samsung Quick Charge 45W power bank, it supports faster wired charging.
Samsung Quick Charge 45W Specifications
According to a listing on Mobile Fun, an e-commerce platform in the United Kingdom, Samsung’s new power bank has a total capacity of 20,000 mAh. The listing shows the device in a beige color, with curved edges and a minimal design. Like the two USB-C ports on the older Samsung power bank, the new one also has two.
Charging Two Devices Reduces The Charging Speed
Even so, the power bank can simultaneously charge only two devices. Further, when charging two smartphones, the accessory can only provide a maximum power of 9W to both. When charging one device, the Quick Charge power bank can give a maximum power output of 45W. This means users can charge devices like the Galaxy S24 Plus and the Galaxy S24 Ultra at their top speeds.
The Device Is Made From Recycled Materials
The listing also suggests that the power bank is made from recycled materials, making it environmentally friendly. In the box, the device comes with a 20cm USB-C to USB-C cable, which can charge either the power bank or another device. However, what’s strange is that the Samsung Quick Charge power bank hasn’t appeared on the company’s official website yet.
Samsung Quick Charge 45W Price
Samsung’s first 45W power bank is listed for GBP 59.99, roughly Rs. 6,300. However, if the device arrives in India at the same price point, it might not be able to gather much traction, as the market already has several well-rated options that provide the same capacity and charging speed. Nonetheless, there’s no word on the Indian launch right now.
