Samsung Galaxy S24 cameras explained

Hearing about certain issues in newly released smartphones has become a trend. Last year, the Pixel 8 and the iPhone 15 series faced several problems shortly after the launch. While users reported battery life issues with the former and trouble setting up the latter, overheating was common on both products. Now, early adopters of the Galaxy S24 series are facing several display-related problems.

Galaxy S24 Vividness Issues

Previously, several users were noticing that the Galaxy S24 devices were showing washed-out colors on the display. According to known tipster Ice Universe, Samsung is working on a Vividness slider to help users set the screen to colors similar to the Galaxy S23 Ultra or the S21 Ultra. Users have also reported seeing horizontal bars on the displays at low brightness levels, which vanish upon increasing the brightness.

Some Users Are Also Facing Grainy Display Issues

Other users are also reporting several issues with the super bright display feature. Reddit users have reported noticing visible grains on the display in a dark or gray background. This issue seems to affect Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus users. A Reddit user, @general_clausewitz, has claimed that the problem affects most units manufactured before January 31, 2024.

According to a report by Fonearena, some users have examined their Galaxy S24 displays under microscopes only to find out that the subpixel intensity is uneven at lower brightness levels. Since this is a manufacturing defect, Samsung should provide replacements to users facing this issue. However, while some report receiving a replacement unit, others still encounter problems.
