Samsung has reportedly confirmed the launch date for its highly anticipated Galaxy S24 series. According to information from The Elec, the South Korean tech giant has officially stated that the new S-series flagship smartphones are set to be unveiled on January 17th, 2024. Although this information hasn’t been officially communicated through Samsung’s social media channels, an unnamed official from Samsung Electronics is cited as the source of this report.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Launch Details

According to the reports, the Samsung Galaxy S24 series is set to make its debut on January 17th. Pre-orders for these flagship devices will commence on the launch day itself. Customers who pre-order can anticipate receiving their phones between January 26th and 30th. The Galaxy S24 series is expected to be available for open sale starting January 30th. Notably, Samsung has yet to officially confirm these details on its social media platforms or communication channels.

In a separate development, tipster Ice Universe has unveiled the screen protectors for all three models in the Samsung Galaxy S24 series. The screen protectors strongly indicate that the overall design will closely resemble that of the previous models.

As depicted in the images, the Samsung Galaxy S24 series will maintain the same front design as its predecessors. Both the standard and plus versions feature rounded edges, while the ultra variant boasts sharper edges. Notably, the screen protector for the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra reveals flat edges, a departure from the slightly curved edges seen in the S23 Ultra. This insight provides a glimpse into the nuanced design differences among the upcoming models.

Corroborating earlier reports, the screen protectors align with the indication that the Samsung Galaxy S24 series will feature symmetrical bezels, suggesting slightly slimmer bezels in comparison to the S23 lineup. Although not explicitly visible in the image, it is speculated that the standard Galaxy S24 will sport a slightly larger screen, potentially resulting in a taller and slimmer profile.

In contrast, the Plus and Ultra models are anticipated to be thicker than their predecessors. These subtle design variations hint at Samsung’s efforts to refine and differentiate the models within the upcoming Galaxy S24 series.

Expected Galaxy S24 Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy S24 lineup is expected to offer a diverse range of displays, with the standard model featuring a 6.1-inch FHD+ display, the Plus version equipped with a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, and the Ultra boasting a 6.8-inch AMOLED WQHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+. Under the hood, all three models are rumored to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, coupled with Adreno GPU, although select regions, including India, might see the inclusion of the Exynos 2400 SoC. The devices are likely to run on Android 14-based One UI 6 software. In terms of cameras, the S24 Ultra is anticipated to feature a 200MP+12MP+10MP+3x zoom quad-camera setup, while the regular and Plus versions could sport 50MP+10MP+12MP sensors. The S24 Ultra might house a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging support.
