Samsung Galaxy S23 to have a clever software trick to beat the iPhone 14’s battery life.

Samsung Galaxy S23 will have one clever software trick to beat the iPhone 14's battery life! Based on all the recent leaks, it is suggested that Samsung is planning to have a Light Mode on its device to reduce the battery consumption all while having a little effect on performance. In fact, this Light Mode could prove to be a big way for Samsung to beat the iPhone 14's good battery life.

Based on the tip from tipster IceUniverse, it is said that Samsung will bring a new Light Mode to the Galaxy S23 series. The series, which could consist of the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra, may end up using the Light mode to reduce the impact on the battery life all while having a little impact on the performance. It could be similar to the Low Power mode on the Apple iPhone.

Galaxy S23 could have Light Mode

What remains to be seen is whether the chipset used by Samsung has any effect on the power efficiency. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is expected to offer better power efficiency as well as minor boost in performance, despite the chip expected to be based on the same 4nm platform as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra, on the other hand, is expected to have some camera upgrades as well. The main camera could now use a new 200MP camera sensor while the 10X telephoto camera with 10MP sensor may remain. The other 10MP 3X telephoto camera and 12MP ultrawide camera are also expected to make it to the new model.

Leaks have also shown the design of the Galaxy S23 series and the changes are expected to be minimal. The Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus will have the Galaxy S22 Ultra-inspired design with the isolated camera lens islands, and slightly thicker bezels. The Galaxy S23 Ultra may retain the same design as the Galaxy S22 Ultra, although with slight changes to the shape of the side rails and the overall dimensions.

Based on the leaks, it seems that the Galaxy S23 series will be a mild update to the Galaxy S22 series. Unlike the iPhone 14 series, Samsung will likely upgrade the chipsets across all the models and offers its standard versatile triple camera system.
