On Wednesday, Samsung India announced the launch of a new storage variant of the Galaxy A15 5G. Originally, the smartphone came out in December 2023, along with the Galaxy A25 5G. It takes on the baton from the Galaxy A14 5G, India’s most-selling 5G smartphone, in 2023, per a report by Counterpoint Research.
Galaxy A15 5G New Variant Now Available
Starting today, the Galaxy A15 5G will be available in a new configuration with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. This particular variant will cost Rs. 17,999. Further, interested customers can also avail of a discount of Rs. 1,500 by using HDFC Bank’s credit or debit cards on Samsung’s official website.
Previously, the Galaxy A15 5G was available in two storage models: 8/128GB and 8/256GB. These variants are available for Rs. 19,499 and Rs. 22,499, respectively. Given that the smartphone is supposed to receive four generations of major Android updates, it makes sense to purchase it, even in 2024.

Do Any Other Smartphones Offer A Similar Spec List In The Price
However, it is important to mention that there are similar models in the segment that might cost less. For instance, the Moto G54 5G with a 6.5-inch FHD+ LCD screen, Dimensity 7020 processor, and 12/256GB configuration is available on Flipkart for Rs. 15,999 without any card offers. The Moto G84 5G with a pOLED screen, Snapdragon 695 SoC and 12/256GB configuration is also available for Rs. 17,999 without any card offers.
While Samsung’s phones run on One UI, Motorola provides a rather stock Android experience. Even though it looks like Samsung is charging a slight premium for its devices, ultimately, it boils down to users’ brand preference.
