Redmi Note 12 series could take on Realme 10 series: Pro+ variant to get Track Edition

The rivalry between Realme and Redmi is a public affair, and both brands have been on each other’s nerves for a long time. Now, it seems like the Xiaomi sub-brand is all set to compete with the upcoming Realme 10 series. It is in the air that Redmi is going to drop three new Note 12 series smartphones in the global market, including Redmi Note 12, Redmi Note 12 Pro, and Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G. The launch date of the smartphones has been revealed, along with a decent amount of details regarding the design and specs.

According to the official teaser of the Note 12 Pro, it is clear that we are going to see a flat back and edge design. At the back, It will have a triple rear camera system and the Redmi branding at the bottom left. Rumours suggest that the Pro variant will get a 50MP primary sensor which will be a Sony IMX766 lens. It has been confirmed that the device will run on a MediaTek Dimensity processor and will support 5G connectivity.

What else do we know?

The renders of all three smartphones have surfaced online, and in terms of design, they almost look similar. Previously, rumours had it that the Pro Plus variant from the series would have a curved display, but the renders have a different story to tell. The Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus will get a 200MP Samsung HPX primary shooter. A few other renders also show that the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus will get a Track Edition (YIBO Racing Edition) which will have a unique design.

The smartphone will have a dual-coloured back panel, including black and light green. The back side will have the camera island and Redmi branding too. One thing which we are sure of is that the Redmi Note 12 series is going to give a tough time to the Realme 10 series in the market. As of now, only a limited amount of information is available regarding the Redmi Note 12 series devices. Speculations are that we will get to know more as soon as the launch date approaches.
