Realme is prepping up to release the Realme GT Neo 5 series in the global market followed by its China launch. Possibilities are that the series will have two devices – Realme GT Neo 5 and Realme GT Neo 5T. Both handsets are slated to reach the shores in the first quarter of 2023. In a recent development, the fast charging capacity of the variants has been revealed. If the rumours are to be believed, the smartphone will come with a 240W fast charging capacity.

Popular tipster Digital Chat Station posted on Weibo that the series will get two fast charging variants including 150W and 240W. The device with 150W fast charging support will ship with a 5000mAh battery and the handset with 240W charging support will have a 4600mAh battery. Until now, the line-up has not got the Indian BIS certification. So it can be said that we are skeptical regarding the fact that Realme GT Neo 5 will get 240W charging capacity in India.

Realme GT Neo 5 expected specifications

The Realme GT Neo 5 may feature a 6.5-inch FHD+ AMOLED display complemented with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device will be most probably powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9 series chipset paired with high-capacity RAM and an ample amount of storage. The handset will operate on the Realme UI 4.0 based on the Android 13 operating system.

In terms of camera, we can get to see a triple rear camera setup including a 50MP primary shooter. The details regarding the other two sensors are still under wraps. On the front, the handset could rock a 16MP or 32MP snapper for capturing selfies and attending video calls. We have to wait to know more about the phones as only a limited amount of information is available currently.

Now compare it with its predecessor, Realme GT Neo 3, the device is getting an upgrade in terms of charging capacity. The GT 3 used to get up to 50% charged in just five minutes. Considering that, we can say that the upcoming device might get completely charged in less than 10 minutes. Furthermore, the older variant ships with Dimensity 8100 processor while the new one will get a Dimensity 9000 series chipset.
