10 months ago 70

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Realme is about to reveal its new flagship, the Realme GT 5 Pro. Previously, we knew the smartphone could run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and feature a 6.78-inch curved OLED screen. Now, a tipster has shared the entire specifications sheet of the smartphone. From what it looks like, the smartphone will rival other Android flagships this year and some from 2024, too. Here’s everything we know about the Realme GT 5 Pro.

Realme GT 5 Pro Leaked Specifications

iQoo 12 to feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC

Indian tipster Abhishek Yadav has leaked the entire specifications list of the Realme GT 5 Pro. First up, the smartphone should feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate. It is also rumored to sport an in-display fingerprint scanner. Under the hood, it should run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, LPDDR5X RAM, and UFS 4.0 storage. Out of the box, the smartphone could run on Realme’s custom ROM based on Android 14, the latest operating system by Google.

Regarding the cameras, the Realme GT 5 Pro could ship with a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP telephoto sensor for up to 2.7x zoom, and an 8MP ultrawide sensor. On the front, users could get a 32MP selfie shooter. Since the smartphone has such a powerful chipset, it should be able to record high-resolution videos (4K) at up to 60 frames per second, at least from the primary sensor.

A 5,400 mAh battery could power the smartphone, which supports 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. However, the massive battery could also contribute to the weight, which should be around 220 grams. Regarding storage models, the Realme GT 5 Pro could come in three RAM variants, including 8, 12, and 16GB, and four storage variants, including 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB.

Realme GT 5 Pro Launch Timeline

Although iQoo has promised to release the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-based smartphone in India, other manufacturers are also working on flagships based on the latest processor. The iQoo 12 series debuted in China on November 7, 2023. However, for some reason, iQoo decided to wait another month to reveal the smartphone in India. Nonetheless, Realme is expected to launch the Realme GT 5 Pro by the end of this year, and there’s a good chance that the device will first be available in China and, later, in India.
