Poco M5 launches in India with MediaTek Helio G99 SoC and 50MP camera: Know the price and full specs

Poco India has unveiled the Poco M5 for the Indian market today. This is the new affordable Poco phone that packs ingredients like MediaTek Helio G99 processor, 50MP main camera, 90Hz FHD+ display, and more.

Poco had the global debut of Poco M5 and this phone will be up for grabs in India from. It is specced with MediaTek Helio G99 chip, up to 6GB of RAM, 50MP primary camera, and a 90Hz FHD+ screen, among its key repertoire. It is priced at ₹12,499 for the base model.

Poco M5 dons a leather-textured finish on the back. You can pick it in Poco Yellow, Icy Blue, and Power Black. The back side also has a gigantic visor housing the triple camera setup. The primary camera is a 50MP ISOCELL JN1 sensor. The other two sensors are token 2MP depth and macro shooters.

On the front, you are getting a waterdrop notch bearing an 8MP sensor for selfies and video calls. The notch is part of a 6.58-inch LCD panel with a 90Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and FHD+ resolution. There is Gorilla Glass 3 protection as well.

Inside the phone, there is a MediaTek Helio G99 processor, up to 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and 128 GB UFS 2.2 storage. The list of specs also includes up to 2GB Turbo RAM extension, a side fingerprint sensor, Widevine L1 certification, and a 5000mAh battery with 18W charging support (22.5W charger in the box).

Poco M5 India Price and Availability

The Poco M5 is priced in India starting at Rs 12,499 for the base variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage and Rs 14,499 for the 6GB+128GB storage option. During the Flipkart Big Billion Day sale 2022, the Poco M5 will be available at a special introductory price of ₹10,999 and ₹12,999 respectively.
