The Poco F5 series is launching globally on May 9, but today the lineup appeared on the company website in the UAE. The Poco F5 and Poco F5 Pro are up with all their specs and images, and we are just missing the prices, which are likely to be introduced at the global event tomorrow.
Poco F5 Pro
This smartphone comes with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and three memory combinations. It might look familiar, and that’s because it is essentially the Redmi K60, introduced in China by Xiaomi but with Google Services and lowered battery capacity, effectively making it a new device.
The screen is 6.67” AMOLED with WQHD+ resolution - that is 3200 x 1440 pixels with 526 ppi, the highest density ever for a Poco smartphone. The panel also supports a 120 Hz refresh rate and 480 Hz touch sampling rate, has a fingerprint scanner underneath and Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top.
The trio of cameras on the back are 64 MP main with Omnivision OV64B sensor, f/1.8 aperture and 6P lens + 8 MP ultra-wide-angle with 120-degree FoV and a 2 MP macro camera, sitting behind the small square glass. The camera setup supports OIS+EIS, a feature not widely available on Poco devices and making the F5 Pro ever so slightly more attractive to camera enthusiasts.
The selfie shooter is 16 MP, sits behind a punch hole in the center, and is limited to 1080p video recording.
Poco is quite proud of the 5000 sq.mm. LiquidCool VC which is a mix of stainless steel vapor chambers, and there are also graphite layers to improve heat conductivity up to 15%, compared with previous Poco F smartphones.
The battery of the Poco F5 Pro is listed as 5,160 mAh, which is lower than the 5,500 mAh cell on the Redmi K60, despite keeping the 67W fast wired charging and 30W wireless charging. OS is Android 13 with MIUI 14 on top.
The Poco F5 Pro will be available in the UAE in White or Black with carbon-like design elements. Storage options are 8/256 GB, 12/256 GB, or 12/512 GB. We have to wait until tomorrow’s event to see whether other markets will get more colors and memory options.

Here we also have a Qualcomm chipset, but this time it is the mid-range Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 that has one CPU at 2.9 GHz. Storage is 256 GB, while RAM is either 8 GB or 12 GB, both expandable through software features.
The screen on the Poco F5 is still 6.67” AMOLED, borrowing all the fancy refresh rates and features, although the resolution here is limited to 1080p. The camera combination is again 64 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP, but the website says nothing about an Omnivision sensor, suggesting the main cam is slightly downgraded from the Pro. At least the brand kept the OIS and EIS. The selfie camera is once again 16 MP with f/2.45 aperture behind a punch hole.
This device is all about lightweight design, and Poco is really proud of how light and thin the F5 is - just 181 grams with a 7.9 mm profile. The battery of the Poco F5 is 5,000 mAh and has 67W fast charging. Other features include Android 13 with MIUI 14 on top, NFC, IR blaster, NFC and Bluetooth 5.3.
If all these specs look familiar, that is because the independent brand Poco is just relaunching the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Turbo under a new name.

The Emirati website has the phone in three colors - Black, Blue, and White- the hero color with “dual-color gradient offset printing” to imitate ice-cold design.
