Finally, after a long wait, Poco has launched a new phone named Poco F5 5G that is going to give tough competition to other mid-rangers in the market. The launch of the device was live-streamed via the YouTube channel of Poco starting at 5:30 PM. From the looks of it, the device offers a premium design with the Poco branding placed at the bottom left corner of the device.

The three circular cutouts for the placement of the sensor can be seen at the top left corner. One of the major highlights of the device is that it includes super thin bezels, which promise to enhance the viewing experience of the users. The Poco F5 5G’s 8GB RAM variant with 256GB internal storage is available in the market for Rs 29,999. On the other hand, the 12GB RAM variant with 256GB internal storage will be available in the market at a price of Rs 33,999. The sale of the device will start on May 16, 2023, at 12:00 noon via Flipkart. It will be shipped in two different colour variants, including – Electric Blue, Snowstorm White, and Carbon Black.

The Poco F5 5G comes with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display complemented with an adaptive refresh rate 120Hz refresh rate. The users can choose from 30Hz, 60Hz, 90Hz, and 120Hz refresh rate. The device has 1000 nits of peak brightness along with HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 processor paired with 12GB RAM, 7GB RAM, and 256GB internal storage. For better performance and zero heating issues, the handset comes with a Vapor Chamber and 14 layers of graphite sheets.

In terms of optics, the Poco F5 5G flaunts a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 64MP primary shooter, an 8MP ultra wide-angle shooter, and a 2MP macro shooter. For the sake of selfies and video calls, the handset rocks a 16MP front snapper. It operates on the MIUI 14 skin based on the Android 13 operating system. The smartphone is powered by a 5000mAh battery along with 67W fast charging support. As claimed by the company, the device can get fully fueled up from zero to 100% in just 45 minutes. For the purpose of security, the handset will have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
