OnePlus Open Specs & Pricing Tipped Ahead of Launch

The OnePlus Open is barely a day away from its massive launch on October 19th. However, leaks have already mushroomed concerning the pricing in India, and the US and the specifications that are highly likely to be true given the proximity to its launch.

OnePlus Open Specifications (Leaked)

Reputed tipster Max Jambor has gone forward teasing a few highlights of the upcoming OnePlus Open ahead of launch.

The foldable OnePlus Open is expected to host a large 7.82” primary display with Ultra Thin Glass on top while the secondary display is at 6.31” with a 20:9 aspect ratio and covered by Ceramic Guard. Both screens will boast 2,800 nits of peak brightness.

The device will arrive with OxygenOS 13.2, up to 16GB of RAM (in case of multiple configurations) and there’s a triple spatial speakers setup too. Finally, you will get your hands on Open in two colorways – Emerald Dusk and Voyager Black.

The OnePlus Open is laid with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC on top with Adreno 740 graphics, LPDDR5x RAM, and 256GB of storage. A 4,805mAh battery supplies the power needed while reports claim the fast charging tech is at 67W. An FCC listing suggests 80W fast charging on-board although that remains to be seen quite soon. There’s an Alert Slider on the side that has tipped quite a few times.

On the optics front, there are 32MP and 20MP selfie cameras while the rear assembly includes 48MP primary, 48MP ultrawide, and a 64MP telephoto lens backed by 3x optical zoom.

OnePlus Open Pricing in India & Availability

According to the tipster Abhishek Yadav, the OnePlus Open is expected to fetch a pricing of INR 1,39,999/- probably for its base model. On the US soil, the foldable device is likely to fetch pricing of $1,700 which translates into INR 1,41,300/- at the time of writing this.

For now, we have also heard about a rumored pricing on the OnePlus Open that goes as high as INR 1,54,999/-, the same as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 (12+256GB). Given the pricing in India and the US may differ, we are hoping the OnePlus Open to launch in an affordable pricing bracket between INR 1,00,000/- and INR 1,20,000/-.

On the lines up availability, the foldable device launches on October 19th with the sale commencing on October 27th in India, a week after the launch.
