OnePlus 12’s Indian Pricing Will Suprise You: Here’s What Indian Tipster Suggests

OnePlus 12 launch event ticket sales

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus will drop the OnePlus 12 and the OnePlus 12R in India on January 23, 2024. While the former takes the baton from the OnePlus 11 that came out earlier this year, the latter succeeds the OnePlus 11R, or as the lineup is called in China, the OnePlus Ace 2. Ahead of the official launch, an Indian tipster has leaked the Indian pricing of the handsets.

OnePlus 12’s Base Variant Could Cost Around Rs. 60,000

According to Yogesh Brar, the OnePlus 12 will sell in green and black colors. The top variant will feature 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The tipster also mentions that the smartphone will run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC (4nm).

Apart from all other details, Brar wrote that the OnePlus 12 will cost between Rs. 58,000 to 60,000 in India, which looks like a decent price for the smartphone, considering that previous years flagships, including the vanilla Galaxy S23 and the Google Pixel 8, cost higher. However, it could be the price for OnePlus 12’s base variant.

OnePlus 12R’s Base Variant Could Cost Around Rs. 40,000

OnePlus 12R Leaked Key Specs Hints at Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC

Per the tipster, the OnePlus 12R, or the rebranded OnePlus Ace 3, will come in blue and black colors. Further, this particular model is said to feature up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Under the hood, the OnePlus 12R will run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC (4nm).

The price of this handset, however, could range between Rs. 40,000 to 42,000. This could also be the price of the smartphone’s base variant, as the OnePlus 11R with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage is currently available for Rs. 39,795.

OnePlus 12R To Be Available Two Weeks Later

Besides the expected price, Brar also mentions that the OnePlus 12 will go on sale first, and there will be a minimum gap of two weeks until the OnePlus 12R hits the market. This looks like a move to boost the flagship’s sales, but even so, the company should provide users the option to pre-book the OnePlus 12R if that is the smartphone they want to opt for.
