On February 1, Samsung could announce its answer to the Apple iPhone 14 Pro. New rumours now suggest that Samsung is hosting its next Galaxy Unpacked event on February 1, 2023, wherein the company will announce the Galaxy S23 series. No official announcement from Samsung yet on this front but the Galaxy S23 series leaks have revealed a lot about these phones. Moreover, February is usually the month for Samsung to dominate the headlines.

The information comes from the renowned tipster duo of “Ice Universe” and “Steve H. McFly aka OnLeaks”, both of whom confirm on the February 1 date. This is a hint to the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event expected to be hosted for the Galaxy S23 series. The event could most likely see the entire Galaxy S23 lineup along with a Galaxy Tab S9 series and maybe a few accessories. Details are scarce at the moment.

Samsung Galaxy S23 to launch on February 1

The Galaxy S23 series is getting some notable changes when compared to last year's lineup. The Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus are the two basic models in the series, getting a new rear design and upgraded internals. A boosted variant of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip will be employed for these phones, and there are expected improvements coming to the camera.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra, on the other hand, will retain a similar design to the Galaxy S22 Ultra, albeit with minor refinements. This one is also expected to use the boosted version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and gain a new 200MP rear camera sensor. Rest of the features and specifications are expected to remain largely unchanged. The phone is also expected to retain the S Pen stylus, with its own silo inside.

The Galaxy S23 series could be Samsung's big reply to the iPhone 14 series devices that were launched earlier. The iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max have been a runaway success over the months and we expect the Galaxy S23 phones to break their momentum.
