Nothing Phone (1) gets a new OTA update that brings in a bunch of camera improvements as well as bug fixes. Here is all you need to know.

The Nothing Phone (1) just got that “dope update” Carl Pei promised! The Phone (1) has been getting a slew of bug fix patches ever since its launch and the latest one drops a couple of big improvements and general fixes. The update is rolling out in batches to Phone (1) users across the globe and you will be notified of the same once it reaches your device. Alternatively, you can also check for the OTA update manually via the Software Update section.

The Nothing OS 1.1.3 patch weighs only 64MB, which means it would be an easy download for most people on both mobile data and Wi-Fi. Nothing has been pushing smaller sized update mostly, which should make it easy for most people even without Wi-Fi coverage. Other than the Nothing OS update, the freshest news surrounding the Phone (1) is the price hike in India. The Phone (1) is now expensive by Rs. 1,000 in India for all the storage variants.

With the new update, one can now expect improved photo clarity with the front camera. The changelog also says that the camera can now take faster Night Mode photos, while HDR photos will be processed faster. The ultra-wide camera now promises richer colour saturation. Nothing also promises less noise and more sharpness when zooming.

But the bigger update comes with the Glyph lighting photography, where photos will be adjusted to "optimal colour and brightness" – you can expect better colour tones here. There's also a new reminder function to clean the camera lenses. Another new feature is Google's Adaptive Battery that promises to optimise the battery life. There is also a redesigned fingerprint verification UI for third party apps.

Other than that, the update patch also fixes several issues such as stutters in social media apps and Google Play.

The Nothing Phone (1) is currently retailing at a price of Rs. 33,999 for the base 8GB/128GB variant and it goes all the way up to Rs. 39,999 for the 12GB/256GB variant.
