Nothing Ear (a) leaked images and specifications

Soon after the Carl Pei-led tech startup Nothing announced the launch of two new earbuds on April 18, 2024, a publication leaked their specifications and images. The company already confirmed the names of the earbuds: Nothing Ear and Nothing Ear (a). While we speculated that the former will be the successor to the high-end Ear (2) released last year, the Ear (a) could be the more affordable. Now, the publication reveals similar information. So, without any further ado, let’s look at leaked information.

Nothing Ear Price And Specs (Leaked)

Nothing Ear (a) in black

According to a report by Android Headlines, the Nothing Ear will be priced at EUR 150, which is about Rs. 14,000. The earbuds will include features like active noise cancellation and dual connectivity. While the earbuds will feature an IP54 rating, the charging case could get an IPX2 rating.

In terms of battery life, the earbuds will last up to 7.5 hours with ANC off, while the case can top up another 33 hours of usage. The Nothing Ear will also support a fast charging feature, which provides 10 hours of playtime with a 10-minute charge.

Like the Nothing Ear (2) (review), the Nothing Ear will be available in black and white colors. The company will stick with its iconic semi-transparent design on the earbuds. Interestingly, the publication has leaked a bunch of pictures of the upcoming earbuds in both colors. Have a look at the gallery attached above.

Nothing Ear (a) Price And Specs (Leaked)

The publication claims that the Nothing Ear (a) will be similar to the regular model except for the IP rating and the battery life. First, the earbuds will feature an IP54 rating, while the charging case could come with an IP55 rating, which is better than the more expensive version. Surprisingly, the Ear (a) is also said to provide up to eight hours of playback with ANC off.

These earbuds will be released in three colors: classic black and white and a vibrant yellow finish. “The yellow color is meant to be more of an eco-friendly design for the Nothing Ear (a),” the report mentions. However, the question of whether the packaging will feature eco-friendly materials isn’t clear at the moment. Last but not least, the earbuds will cost less than EUR 100, around Rs. 9,000.
