Samsung Galaxy S23 series to bring a big upgrade over Apple’s iPhone 14 series. Here are all the details.

Samsung could give one more tempting reason for iPhone users to buy the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 series. Samsung has always offered better specs and features on its Galaxy S series devices to one-up the rival iPhone series. The Galaxy S23 series, which is rumoured to arrive later this year, is expected to have a triple rear camera system, a 120Hz OLED display, and a fancy new design. However, Samsung seems to have one more trick up its sleeves to draw customers from the Apple iPhone camp – storage.

Based on a new leak from a tipster who goes by the name of Ahmed Qwaider, it is said that Samsung is going to offer 256GB of storage as standard on all the variants of the Galaxy S23 series. The Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus will have their base variants configured in a combination of 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The Galaxy S23 Ultra is said to have 12GB RAM and 256GB storage in its base variant.

The same tipster also revealed the possible colour variants on these phones. Samsung won't bring gold, pink, burgundy and white colours from the Galaxy S22 series this year. Instead, Samsung is expected to introduce four new colours – Phantom Black, Green, Lavender and Cream.

Previous rumours have suggested Samsung using a beefed up variant of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset on these phones. The Galaxy S23 series will have a boosted prime performance core in its Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which should offer higher processing performance on these phones when compared to the rest of the field.

Additionally, the Galaxy S23 Ultra is also expected to use a new 200MP camera sensor for the main rear camera, and retain the 10X zoom camera from the older model. The regular flavours of the Galaxy S23 will get a new lens island design on its back while the rest of the phone retains the same kind of design.
