Mysterious Issue Shuts Down iPhones At Night

iPhone switch off under mysterious circumstances

New iPhones are often affected by a few bugs, and so are new iOS versions. We’ve heard about new iPhones facing overheating and battery-related issues in the past, but this one is a little different. Some users are reporting a rather new problem with the iPhone 15 series. Apparently, the iPhones are switching off and turning back on at night, making users miss their morning alarms.

iPhone Alarms Fail To Go Off

Per a report by MacRumors, a Reddit user (u/Theblobsnark) complains about two iPhone alarms failing to go off, as the phone went off at night. What’s interesting is that other. Other users also corroborated the issue, writing about how their iPhone alarms did not ring at the expected time.

As it turns out, some problems could be related to the iPhones turning off under mysterious circumstances. Other owners also wrote about how they had to put in their iPhone passcode in the morning, something that happens when one reboots an iPhone.

Earlier this week, 9To5Mac also highlighted the issue. Folks over at MacRumors also experience the problem, mentioning that an iPhone 15 Pro Max with iOS 17.0.3 rebooted on October 10, at around 01:00 AM CET. The issue, faced by many iPhone 15 owners operating on iOS 17, was also reported on other iPhone models, such as the iPhone 13 mini.

To check if an iPhone rebooted, users opened Settings, navigated to Battery, and checked the charging status over the last 24 hours. While Apple has yet to acknowledge this issue, it seems problematic, especially for those who rely on their iPhones for morning alarms.
