Moto E13 : Design
The Moto E13 has a minimalistic design which sleek (8.47mm) and lightweight (179 grams). It comes in 3 color options- Cosmic Black, Aurora Green, and Creamy White. I received the black variant and although its back panel is made of plastic, it doesn’t look cheap or outdated. The smartphone has a power button and volume rockers on the right edge while the left edge houses the SIM tray. The bottom part consists of USB Type-C charging port as well as a speaker grille whereas the top edge has a 3.5mm headphone jack with a ‘Dolby Atmos logo.
The back panel has a rectangular camera module with 2 camera lenses in the top left corner. The middle of the back panel has a Motorola logo. The front has a large display but there are noticeable bezels. The smartphone is IP52 rated for being water repellant, which is pretty good for an 8K device.

Moto E13 Review: Display & Sound
The Moto E13 sports a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a Night Light Mode. The display is strictly average but then you can’t expect more than this from an under 10,000 device. The content consumption experience was pretty decent, so the display does its job well.
The smartphone has a Dolby Atmos-supported speaker setup that provides multidimensional sound. The sound is loud and clear, which is good enough and you also get a 3.5mm headphone jack for old school listening experience.
Moto E13 Review: Camera
The Moto E13 features a 13MP AI camera at the back and a 5MP selfie camera at the front. There are various shooting modes including portrait, photo, panorama, pro, and night vision modes. The camera setup comes with HDR, Leveler, Timer, Assistive grid, and watermark feature as well.
If we talk about the quality of the shots, the back camera clicks decent shots in daylight. They are clear, and detailed and didn’t blur even when zoomed in. The edges get noisy but that can be ignored if you want only basic shots. The colors looked slightly faded and the shots were not exactly rich, so in conclusion we can say that the camera of Moto E13 is meant for random everyday photography. If you are a fan of good-quality shots, then you might not be happy with this rear camera.
Talking about the selfie camera takes usable shots that can bless your social media feeds. The selfies are mostly color accurate and keep the subject in focus. Also, the skin tone looks natural and the background looks slightly blurred, especially in areas where light is low/bad.

Moto E13 Revie: Performance
The Moto E13 is powered by a UNISOC T606 chipset with up to 4GB RAM and up to 64GB onboard storage. The processor is a 12nm chipset paired with Mali G57 GPU. It has a Geekbench score of 311 for single-core and 1167 for multi-core tests. The processor is fast and smooth but starts lagging when more than 8 apps are running simultaneously. Gaming performance is limited as basic games like temple run and candy crush work fine, but heavier games like BGMI shouldn’t be played on the Moto E13.
It runs Android 13 Go Edition which provides Moto’s stock experience. There are features like gestures, three-finger swipe down for screenshots, and shaking twice to switch on the flashlight as well. There is hardly any bloatware and the app icons are evenly placed with good spacing between them. There can be no complaints in the OS department.
Calling on Moto E13 was decent, as the microphone and earpiece both received and sent out voices well.

Moto E13 Review: Battery
The Moto E13 packs a whooping 5000mAh battery under the hood. The battery easily lasts an entire working day with moderate usage. This includes calling, texting, browsing social media, listening to music, watching videos, and more. However, if you are watching content for hours at a stretch or having long gaming sessions, the battery will discharge faster. The smartphone comes with a 10W charger inside the box and it takes about 3 hours to recharge the battery from 0 to 100%. The charging time might feel a bit too much, but I think this hitch can be overlooked considering the price tag of the smartphone.
Moto E13 Review Verdict: Should you buy it?
The Moto E13 is one of the most affordable smartphones which can be a perfect choice for those who want to switch to a smartphone from a keypad phone or have tight budget constraints. It runs the latest Android 13 OS, has a good design, and has a large battery life as well. Although the camera and chipset performance is very average, if an average level of performance suits your pocket, then Moto E13 can be one of your choices.
