Motorola India Teases a New Smartphone with Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC: Might be Edge 50 Fusion

Lenovo-owned smartphone maker Motorola has confirmed that it will soon launch a new smartphone in the country. Motorola India has been teasing about a new Snapdragon 7 Gen 3-powered device that will make its debut in India soon. While the name hasn’t been officially confirmed, some specs of the upcoming have been revealed that indicate towards it is a mid-ranger. Reports claim it might be the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion that might be coming to India.

Motorola teasing a new smartphone

Earlier last week, Motorola teased the design of this upcoming device. The design teaser showed the device in blue color sporting a curved display with the tagline “Unleash the new Edge. Embrace the Extraordinary”.

Now recently, Motorola has confirmed one more important aspect of the device. It has been confirmed that the brand is all set to launch a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3-powered phone in the country that might also have wireless or fast charging capabilities.

Earlier this week, Motorola sent out a press release scheduling an event for April 3, which is hinting towards a ‘Fusion’ launch so the device could actually be the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion. The press release reads, “fusion of art and intelligence”.

Motorola Edge 50 Fusion: Expected Specifications

The device might have a 6.7-inch P-OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate along with an IP68 rating, 256GB storage, and a 50MP back camera. Under the hood is said to be a 5000mAh battery with 68W fast charging. The smartphone is also expected to have a 32MP selfie camera and come in Peacock Pink, Ballad Blue, and Tidal Teal shades.

It isn’t clear if the event will see Edge 50 Pro and Edge 50 also launching alongside the Edge 50 Fusion, so we’ll have to wait until April 3rd to know more about what Motorola is going to pull out of its bag.
