Motorola unveiled the Edge 50 Pro this week - its upper midrange phone offering with a 4,500mAh battery with 125W charging and a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip. There's a 50MP f/1.4 main camera with OIS, a 10MP 3x telephoto shooter, and a 13MP ultrawide camera.

On the software side, there's Android 14 with Motorola's new Hello UI. Owners will get 3 years of Android OS updates and 4 years of security patches. Finally, the Moto Edge 50 Pro packs a 2,000 nit 6.7-inch 1220p pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate.

Pricing starts at INR 31,999 ($383) for the 8/256GB trim and goes up to INR 35,999 ($431) for the 12/256GB version. Open sales in India are set to begin on April 9.

OnePlus announced the Nord CE4 - another Snapdragon 7 Gen 3-equipped upper midranger. It has a 5,500mAh battery with 100W SuperVOOC charging (charger included in the box), and the Battery Health Engine that will make sure the battery is good for at least 4 years of charging.

The Nord CE4 has the Sony LYT-600 sensor behind the main camera - a sensor size downgrade from the CE3 and its 1/1.56-inch main cam. Upfront sits a 6.7-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

Sales of the Nord CE4 began on April 4. The base 8/128GB model is priced ₹25,000 ($300/€280), while the 8/256GB one is ₹27,000.

We saw metal dummies of the upcoming iPhone 16 series, which revealed that all 2024 iPhone models will have both the new Capture Button and the currently-Pros-only Action Button. The dummies also suggest that the iPhone 16 Pro Max will get a size bump to 6.9-inch, as it's bigger than the 16 Plus, while the 16 Pro may be a tad bigger than the 16, also corroborating an earlier report that the 16 Pro will get a bigger display.

Finally, Tecno launched its Camon 30, 30 5G, and 30 Pro series across various markets in Africa. The series will gradually expand to all 70+ markets around the world. Pricing will be announced separately for each according to individual market..
