Moto Tab G62 and Tab G62 LTE have been announced in India as two affordable Android tablet devices. Here are all the details.

Motorola seems to be the new Xiaomi! After launching a series of new affordable phones, Motorola has announced two new affordable tablets for the masses. Called the Moto Tab G62 and Moto Tab G62 LTE, these devices are armed to take on the recently launched Oppo Pad Air. The prices are aggressive and so are the specifications. Both the tablets will be available via Flipkart, with the Moto Tab G62 going on sale from August 17 while the LTE variant will go on sale from August 22.

The Moto Tab G62 Wi-Fi variant comes with a price of Rs. 15,999, which undercuts the Oppo Pad Air. The LTE variant of the Tab G62 costs Rs. 17,999. Note that Motorola had launched a Tab G70 LTE earlier this year with a much higher price. There is only a single colour variant available in India – Frost Blue.

Motorola Tab G62 features at a glance

The Moto Tab G62 is based on the Snapdragon 680 platform, which is assisted by 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB onboard storage. Users can expand the storage capacity up to 1TB via a microSD card slot. It runs on Android 12 out of the box and Motorola offers all the Google services. Hence, you will be able to access your favourite movies, shows, games, and books in one place with the Google Entertainment Space. Younger users can make use of the Google Kid's Space. Additionally, the Moto Tab G62 allows multiple private profiles to be created for individual family members.

The Tab G62 gets a 10.6-inch 2K IPS LCD display with an aspect ratio of 16:10. The tablet gets a quad speaker setup with support for Dolby Atmos audio. Motorola says that the Tab G62 gets IP52 certification for water resistance, which is a rarity in this price segment. You also get cameras here – an 8MP main rear camera with Auto focus and another 8MP front camera with Fixed Focus.

All of this is backed by a 7700mAh battery that relies on a 20W wired charger, which is available in the box. There is no fingerprint sensor here but you have Face Unlock for biometric verification. There is also a 3.5mm headphone jack for headphones.

The Moto Tab G62 LTE has all the same features, except for the support for LTE networks. Hence, users will be able to use a 4G SIM card for accessing mobile networks on the go.
