More Samsung Galaxy Watch6 specs leak

1 year ago 62

Yesterday a source shared alleged pricing information for Samsung's Galaxy Watch6 family, and today another tipster on Twitter has some more details about the smartwatches - and these have seemingly been endorsed by Ice Universe, one of the more well-known leaksters out there.

The Galaxy Watch6 family members are all expected to sport thinner bezels and bigger screens than their predecessors. They will be powered by the Exynos W930 chipset, built on a 5nm process. And they will all have 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. That's half a gig of extra RAM compared to the previous generation.

The Galaxy Watch6 is said to get a 300 mAh battery in its 40mm iteration (compared to 284 mAh in its predecessor), and 425 mAh for the 44mm model (which grew from 410 mAh).

Surprisingly or not, the Watch6 Classic's two sizes will share capacities with the Watch6 - the 43mm model gets 300 mAh and the 47mm version will have to make do with 425 mAh.

That's a far cry from last year's Galaxy Watch5 Pro, which came with a comparatively huge 590 mAh cell, but there are still minor improvements across the board when compared to the 'vanilla' Watch5 models.

Anyway, the colors that will most commonly launch in most markets across the world are supposedly Graphite and Gold for the 40mm Watch6, and Graphite and Silver for the rest. As Samsung usually does, there will probably be more hues, each limited to a specific set of markets.

The Galaxy Watch6 family is expected to make its official debut in the last week of July at an Unpacked event Samsung is hosting in Korea, alongside the Galaxy Z Flip5, Galaxy Z Fold5, and the Galaxy Tab S9 series.
