MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra

Taiwan-based chipset manufacturer MediaTek has announced the Dimensity 7200 Ultra SoC. It is the successor to the Dimensity 7200 SoC we’ve seen on smartphones like the latest iQOO Z7 Pro and Vivo V27. Here is everything we know about the newest chipset, its specifications, and which smartphone it will debut with.

MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra Specifications

The MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra is an octa-core chipset with two Cortex A715 and six Cortex 510 cores. Further, the processor features the ARM Mali-G610 GPU and the 5th generation MediaTek APU 650 for AI processing. With support for LPDDR4x and LPDDR5 RAM, the chipset also supports up to 200MP camera sensors and 4K video recording at up to 30 fps. Manufacturers willing to provide 14-bit HDR image processing can also opt for the processor.

Regarding connectivity, the chipset supports 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth v5.3, and GPS. Users also get support for carrier aggregation. Based on 4nm fabrication technology, the processor will debut with the Redmi Note 13 series, which will soon go official in China. The Dimensity 7200 Ultra also supports FHD+ displays with a 144Hz refresh rate. However, that is the extent of the information available about the processor. MediaTek will reveal more details about the chipset shortly. Moreover, the Dimensity 7200 Ultra looks like a capable chipset, ideal for mid-range smartphones.

Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus

The Redmi Note 13 series could feature three different models. Notably, the Redmi Note 13 Pro could feature the Dimensity 7200 Ultra chipset, a 200MP Samsung HP3 image sensor, and a 5,000 mAh battery that supports up to 120W fast charging. However, another model in the lineup could ship with a 5,120 mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging.
