Mahindra Thar 5-Door Test Mule Spotted Testing Near Srinagar: Check Out The Video Here

1 year ago 58

Car enthusiasts eagerly await the launch of the most awaited Mahindra Thar 5-door model. The company is diligently testing its upcoming 5-door Thar variant for an extended period, and recent spy shots have unveiled an intriguing upgrade. It appears that this SUV may be in line to receive a more generous touchscreen display, primarily reserved for its top-tier variants. In contrast, the lower trim levels are expected to retain the current 7-inch touchscreen, a feature found in the existing 3-door Thar model. Given the 5-door Thar’s positioning as a family-oriented vehicle, these enhancements may signal the arrival of new features aimed at enhancing its appeal to a broader audience.

Mahindra 5-door Thar Spy Shots

The most recent spy shots, which offer an exciting glimpse into the 5-door Thar, can be attributed to the keen eye of Sumeet Sehgal. Sehgal successfully captured a revealing spy video of the test mule as it traversed the scenic Qazigund to Anantnag National Highway.

In its extended 5-door configuration, the Thar is poised to closely align with the conventional SUV archetype, emphasizing its versatility. This upcoming variant aims to cater to a wide range of needs, seamlessly accommodating daily commutes while also beckoning adventurers to indulge in outdoor escapades during weekends and holidays.

In contrast to the 3-door variant, the 5-door Thar is anticipated to come with an expanded array of comfort features. For instance, the more premium models are likely to be equipped with a single-panel sunroof, among other enhancements. Additionally, notable additions may encompass the inclusion of front and rear center armrests.

The upcoming Thar is set to receive a larger touchscreen display, possibly ranging from 10.25 inches to 12 inches. There’s potential for this upgraded touchscreen to showcase enhanced graphics and a more user-friendly interface. With the absence of standardization in screen sizes for passenger vehicles, manufacturers have the flexibility to explore various options. Tata Motors, for instance, was recently spotted testing a larger touchscreen in the Harrier and Safari facelift models, suggesting an industry trend towards bigger and more advanced infotainment displays.

Mahindra 5-door Thar Launch

The anticipated release of the new Mahindra Thar is slated for next year. However, it’s plausible that the launch might experience delays owing to production limitations. Mahindra is currently contending with an extensive order backlog, surpassing 2.8 lakh pending deliveries.
