This strategic decision, affirmed by Jejurikar, aims to address the persisting lengthy waiting period for the Thar 3-door variant. Reiterating previous announcements, Jejurikar disclosed that the Thar 5-door model is scheduled for a mid-year release within this calendar year.

Additionally, it’s anticipated that certain components will be shared with other Mahindra models, such as the Thar 3-door and the Scorpio line-up. What To Expect ?
In terms of design, the Thar 5-door will boast an expanded wheelbase in contrast to its three-door counterpart, thereby enhancing interior cabin space. Notable exterior updates include a redesigned front radiator grille, LED headlamps with integrated daytime running lights (DRLs), and larger 19-inch alloy wheels. Furthermore, the addition of two seats in the third row contributes to the overall seating capacity and versatility of the vehicle.
Recent spy shots have substantiated that the upcoming SUV will be equipped with an enhanced infotainment system featuring a larger screen and wireless mobile connectivity capabilities. Additionally, the vehicle will feature a single-pane sunroof, dual-zone climate control, a digital instrument cluster, and a 360-degree camera system, augmenting both convenience and safety aspects.
