1 year ago 64

Lava has officially launched its Blaze 2 in India, an affordable phone with a 90Hz display. The Lava Blaze 2 is powered by the entry-grade octa-core Unisoc T616 chipset and flaunts a trendy design with big, bold cameras and some interesting colourways.

Price and availability

The Lava Blaze 2 is available in three vibrant colour options - Glass Black, Glass Blue, and Glass Orange. If you're interested in purchasing it, you can snag a special introductory price of Rs. 8,999 on Amazon India, starting from April 18 at 12 PM.

Lava Blaze 2 Specifications and Features

The phone features a 90Hz IPS LCD screen that measures 6.5 inches in size and has an HD+ resolution, resulting in a modest pixel density of 269 PPI. The performance of the phone relies on the 12nm process-based Unisoc T616 chipset, which includes two ARM Cortex A75 cores clocked at up to 2 GHz and six ARM Cortex A55 cores clocked at up to 1.8 GHz. Lava claims a "highest" AnTuTu benchmark score of 255,298, which we estimate to be within the plausible range.

The phone houses a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. The dual camera system on the rear includes a 13MP primary camera accompanied by a basic 2MP shooter. On the front, there is another 8MP camera for selfies and video calling.

Lava Blaze 2 debuts with Android 12 OS, but is slated to get Android 13 somewhere down the road. Lava also promises two years of security patch updates. Other highlights include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 4G connectivity, a 3.5mm audio jack, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5.0 and a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer.
