Is Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra worth waiting for?

1 year ago 64

Planning to buy a flagship smartphone? You might be better off waiting as exciting news about the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra just dropped.

Samsung combined its Galaxy Note and Galaxy S Series just last year with the introduction of the S-Pen support in its new Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra improved upon its predecessor in almost every aspect. It has a stunning display, takes breathtaking pictures, has a super powerful processor, and all of this is paired with a great battery life. Normally, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra would be the smartphone to go for in today's market. However, recent leaks about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra might've made it worth waiting for.

According to Smart Prix, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is expected to feature a 6.8-inch display, with rough dimensions of the smartphone being 163.4 x 78.1 x 8.8mm. The renders further reveal the power button and the volume rocker at the right side and the USB-C port, speaker grille and SIM tray at the bottom of the smartphone. It will reportedly be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset under the hood with Android 13 based One UI 5 out of the box.

Based on a new report from the GalaxyClub, it is said that Samsung could be degrading the front camera sensor on the Galaxy S23 Ultra. The Galaxy S23 Ultra could ditch the 40MP resolution camera sensor in favour of a new 12MP sensor. Yes, there is a drop in the megapixel count but Samsung will use a better-quality sensor. Hence, despite the drop in resolution, the Galaxy S23 Ultra could take better selfies, probably even in low light conditions. The Galaxy S23 Ultra will keep a similar design to the Galaxy S22 Ultra but use a higher resolution 200MP image sensor for the main camera.

Not sure which
mobile to buy?

As per Smart Prix, although Samsung will not make any major design changes, the smartphone is expected to receive an upgrade in terms of brightness, colour accuracy, HDR performance and many more aspects.

It should be noted that all these are unconfirmed reports. Therefore, you should wait for official confirmation from Samsung, which is expected to come at the launch event in February.
