Is Realme 12 Series About To Debut In India Soon? Here’s What We Know

9 months ago 51

In the coming year, buyers looking for a mid-range smartphone will have plenty of options, as several popular companies, after releasing their yearly flagships, are now turning their focus to the category. Most recently, Redmi launched the Note 13 series. Now, reports about the Realme 12 series are surfacing on the internet.

Two Models From Realme 12 Series Surface Online

According to a report by Gizmochina, the Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro+ have surfaced on the Bureau of Indian Standards website, suggesting an imminent launch. While the former carries the model number “RMX3842,” the latter carries “RMX3840.” The 12 Pro+ has appeared on Indonesia’s SDPPI certification platform. Although a regular Realme 12 variant should also be in the works, it hasn’t yet appeared on the BIS website.

Realme 12 Pro+ Could Feature Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC

Per several reports, the Realme 12 Pro+ should run on the recently launched Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC. Further, the handset may have a 64MP OmniVision 3x periscope camera sensor as its primary shooter, unlike any other smartphone on the market. Most models have a slightly wide 1x primary sensor to click regular images and a secondary telephoto camera to click zoomed-in pictures.

Realme 12 Pro To Feature A 2x Sony Telephoto Camera

The Realme 12 Pro, on the other hand, could come with a 32MP Sony IMX709 2x telephoto lens. Further, this model might run on a similar or slightly inferior processor than the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 on the 12 Pro+. However, that is the extent of information we have on the two smartphones, except they should arrive soon. Most likely, the company will launch the two models by the end of this month or the beginning of next.

The Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ will compete with the Redmi Note 13 series that came out a few days ago. It also sells a Pro and a Pro+ model, similar to the anticipated Realme 12 series.
