Although the iQoo Neo 9 Pro is about to launch soon, the Vivo-owned smartphone brand is already gearing up to release another mid-range smartphone called the iQoo Z9. Yesterday, we reported about the smartphone’s Geekbench listing. Today, the company published a microsite revealing some key specifications of the handset.
iQoo Z9 Processor And Primary Camera Confirmed
Per the official microsite for the iQoo Z9, the phone will come in a unique green finish with distinctive patterns on the back. A rectangular rear camera module seems to have two sensors and a dual-tone LED flash setup. Further, the right frame houses the power/volume buttons.
The handset will feature the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC. The website shows an infographic comparing the processor with Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 and Dimensity 6080, which score about 590K and 423K points on the Antutu benchmark. However, the Dimensity 7200 scores 734K points.
Apart from the processor, the microsite reveals that the smartphone will have the Sony IMX882 primary sensor. The company claims that iQoo Z9 will be the segment’s first smartphone to offer this image sensor.
iQoo Z9 Other Expected Specifications
Per previous reports, the iQoo Z9 will have a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,800 nits. The phone will also feature 300Hz touch sampling rate. In terms of memory, the handset could come with up to 8GB of RAM.
Last but not least, rumors indicate that the phone could feature a 44W fast-charging battery, though the exact battery capacity is unknown. Out of the box, the smartphone should run on Duntouch OS 14, which is based on Android 14.
iQoo Z9 Expected Price
Regarding price, interested buyers should expect the phone to be released under Rs. 25,000 in India. However, the base model could fall in the budget, while the variant with higher storage could cost more. If everything goes right, the company should release the phone in March 2024.
The Smartphone Will Compete Directly With Phone (2a)
It is important to mention here that the expected price and the specifications of the iQoo Z9 place it in competition with the Nothing Phone (2a). The latter is confirmed to feature the Dimensity 7200 Pro SoC, which provides more power and will feature the iconic Glyph Interface. This model is also tipped to cost under Rs. 25,000 for the base model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
