iQOO Neo 8

iQOO Neo series is among the popular ones out there praised for its battery life, performance, and cameras in general. The iQOO Neo 7 received a well-acclaimed landing and with that being said, the next-gen iQOO Neo 8 is ready for its big reveal on May 23 in China. As usual, the Neo 8 series will arrive in China on the said date followed by its international launch a few months down the line.

iQOO Neo 8 Series: Design

iQOO Neo 8 Series is all set to launch on May 23. It comprises two models – iQOO Neo 8 and Neo 8 Pro, instead of a single offering much like the iQOO Neo 6 and 7.

When it comes to the design aspects, the Neo series will get a rectangular-shaped camera bump on the back housing a triple camera array. There’s a Neo branding etched just below the camera module. The phones will use a polycarbonate back although it will have a premium feel to it. This is how smartphone makers keep the pricing low. The phone uses an OIS snapper at the back. Both models likely have flat displays at the front.

iQOO Neo 8 Series: Specifications

iQOO Neo 8 is expected to get a 6.78” 120Hz AMOLED 1.5K resolution display with a 2,160 Hz PWM dimming technology. The Pro version uses the same display tech but with a higher 144Hz refresh rate attached to it although let’s take it with a pinch of salt.

iQOO Neo 8 is speculated to get a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC while the Pro variant packs in a Dimensity 9200 Plus SoC under the hood. Both phones are likely to get 12/16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB/1TB UFS 4.0 storage.

On the optics front, NEo 8 Pro is confirmed to arrive with a 50MP Sony IMX866VCS primary sensor paired with OIS that we saw earlier with Vivo X90 Pro+. There’s no intel on the other two sensors although we are assuming it to be an ultrawide and a 2MP auxiliary snapper on the hood. A 16MP selfie shooter takes care of all your selfies and groupfies as well.

Both Neo 8 and Neo 8 Pro uses a 5,000mAh battery on their chassis paired with 120Hz fast charging tech. More details about the same are awaited at the time of writing this. On the software end, we have Android 13-based OriginOS 3 since the series is due for its Chinese launch.

iQOO Neo 8 Series: Expected Pricing

Talking about the pricing, both the iQOO Neo 8 and Neo 8 Pro are expected to arrive with a few notable features and thus, will get a higher price tag. The vanilla Neo 8 made it to India starting at $361 to $403. The reference pricing for iQOO Neo 8 is expected to be between $350 to $400 for the entry-level version although there’s no fixed pricing available at the time of writing this.
