10 months ago 50

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer iQoo is about to release the iQoo 12 series in its native market on November 7, then in India on December 12, 2023. However, ahead of its launch, tipsters have already leaked a majority of the phone’s specifications.

iQoo 12 To Feature Up To 16GB Of RAM

Most recently, Smartprix reported that the phone will come with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0. Further, iQoo India’s CEO has confirmed that the phone will be India’s first Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered phone. Now, a tipster has uploaded specific images clicked from the unreleased smartphone.

iQoo 12 Camera Samples Uploaded Ahead Of Launch

Indian tipster Mukul Sharma has uploaded four images taken from the iQoo 12. The photos showcase the different zoom levels the smartphone’s camera can click, from the ultrawide sensor to 100x digital zoom. For those catching up, the iQoo 12 series is said to come with a triple-camera setup, including a 50MP OmniVision ultrawide lens, a 50MP wide-angle lens, and a 64MP telephoto sensor for up to three times optical zoom.

The Images Show Four Zoom Perspectives

The first image in the tweet could be from iQoo 12’s ultrawide sensor, as the watermark suggests it clicked from the 15mm sensor. It showcases a cityscape with skyscrapers on the horizon and a clear sky with a hint of clouds. The following image appears to be from the primary sensor of the phone, as it’s clicked with the 23mm lens. This photo showcases a slightly cropped-up view of the same cityscape.

The next photo, however, appears to be from the 3x telephoto camera on the iQoo 12, as it’s clicked with the 70mm sensor. In this image, the skyscrapers in the background are more apparent. Further, one can see the cranes, the cars on the road, and other tiny details. The last image, clicked at 234mm, appears to be an example of the 100x hybrid zoom. It showcases the tallest building in the background in a close-up shot.

Although the uploaded image isn’t of the highest quality, it retains many details, such as the building’s frames, design, etc. The photos look promising, but users should still wait to see detailed camera comparisons between the smartphone and other Android flagships, such as the Pixel 8 and the Galaxy S23 series, to make up their minds.
