5G connectivity in India

The iOS 16.2 update is bringing support for 5G connectivity in India. Apple will introduce support for Airtel's NSA 5G network and Jio's SA 5G network. Apple has been testing 5G connectivity on these two networks for a while and once the beta testing is done, the iPhone 12 and newer models will start receiving 5G coverage, including the iPhone SE 3rd Gen. The update will let you stick to 5G only, or switch between 5G and LTE.

Medication Widget

The iOS 16.2 update will also add a new Medication Widget to the lockscreen. Users will now be able to get a quick glimpse of all the medication data and reminders. Users will be notified of missed medications.

Lockscreen camera bug fix

Apple has also fixed a new Lock Screen Camera bug, which now allows the swipe gesture to be re-enabled. Hence, you no longer need to lock the iPhone to get out of the camera interface if accessed from the Lock Screen.
