iPhone 15 Plus price leak! It could be cheaper than iPhone 14 Plus

1 year ago 70

The Apple iPhone 15 Plus is expected to be cheaper on launch next year, courtesy slow sales of the iPhone 14 Plus model.

This year, Apple took a major step by introducing a new non-Pro, but max-sized smartphone, called iPhone 14 Plus as a replacement for the 5.4-inch mini iPhone. The new iPhone 14 Plus shares the same design, cameras, as well as performance of the standard iPhone 14, but delivers better battery backup and a much larger size- it is as big as the iPhone 14 Pro Max. But despite such an upgrade, Apple is "seriously" concerned about the sales performance of the iPhone 14 Plus. Sales have been disappointing. As a result, now, a report suggests that Apple is looking for new ways and strategies for the iPhone 15 lineup next year.

As per leakster yeux1122 on Naver, Apple is reevaluating strategy for Pro and non-Pro models of the iPhone 15 series. The key marketing strategy changes currently under consideration is to reduce the difference between the Pro model and the basic model. Notably, this is the opposite of what most prevoious reports have said. The blog translates that “already in the base model, the expansion of dynamic island adoption has been confirmed through the display supply chain.”

Furthermore, the blog suggests that Apple may bring in other differences in material and camera parts between the Pro model and the iPhone 15 Pro Max (Ultra), the report indirectly confirmed through suppliers of parts and basic body frames. On the other hand, “The iPhone 14 Plus is in a serious situation, and the biggest problem is the price. The Plus position of the 15 series is likely that the price will be set differently than it is now.”

Not sure which
mobile to buy?

Currently, Apple has priced the Plus model at a starting price of $899. However, the report analysed by MacRumors suggests that iPhone 15 Plus could be cheaper than this. Not just that, the reduction in the price of the iPhone 15 Plus means the standard iPhone, which starts at $799, could also witness a price drop unless Apple wants to decrease the price gap between the vanilla model and the Plus.

However, iPhone 15 is still almost a year away and there is no official word about it till now.
