iPhone 14 Pro Max users report facing several bugs and glitches. This is what users have to say.

The iPhone 14 Pro Max is currently the best iPhone money can buy and yet, those who have spent that much complain of severe issues. Ever since its launch, the iPhone 14 Pro Max and iPhone 14 Pro users have reported bugs and issues on a disturbing cale. Apple has been working hard to come up with quick software fixes and patches for iOS 16 on these handsets but it seems to have left out some crucial bugs. Both variants of the iPhone 14 Pro models have been on sale since mid September.

One of the most prominent bugs observed on the iPhone 14 Pro Max is the issue of freezing. On several occasions, the iPhone 14 Pro Max freezes up its display and the entire interface, which eventually makes users try a hard reset immediately to get their phone up and running. Others also complain of glitches with the customisable lock screen and Focus modes. Have a look at what all users are facing.

Popular content creator Quinn Nelson posts via his Twitter handle about his iPhone 14 pro stuck in the Control Center. “It has been a long time since I've had an iPhone completely lock up requiring a forced restart but boy, it happened with my iPhone 14 Pro!,” says Nelson. The photo shows the iPhone 14 Pro completely stuck on the Noise Meter in the Control Center screen.

Another bug reported by Sebastian Dalton shows how the iPhone 14 Pro automatically keeps on changing between Focus modes when the Focus modes are manually changed in quick succession for 4 times.

Another user shows how his AirPods Pro with the Live Listen feature causes the iPhone's Control Center to break and freeze up the display.

Now, we have been using our unit of the iPhone 14 Pro Max for two weeks and so far, we haven't observed any of these bugs. However, we have observed a glitchy Dynamic Island every once in a while, as well as wonky Control Center. The latest iOS 16.0.2 update seems to have reduced the occasion of these bugs but it still happens every once in a while.

iOS 16 has been dubbed to be a buggy release at launch and we expect Apple to sort out the issues in a matter of weeks. Last year, iOS 15 launched with issues related to battery drain and Apple eventually fixed it in a few months, making it a stable operating system.
