Ahead of its launch, the Intel 14th Generation Core i9-14900KF desktop processor has scored jaw-dropping scores in PassMark. Per a report, it has scored more points in the single-core test than any other processor. For those catching up, Intel’s flagship Core i9 series provides high-end performance for professionals.

Leaked PassMark scores of the 14th Generation Intel Core i9-14900KF processor reveal that it is faster than the 13th Generation Intel Core i9-13900KS, which previously topped the chat. The former scored 4,939 points, more than the latter’s 4,769 points. Although the difference in numbers is a mere 3.5%, it still suggests that the upcoming chipset will be the fastest offered by the company.
The 14th Generation Intel Core i9-14900KF has 16 cores and 32 threads. It has a typical TDP of 125W, which can go up to 253W. However, the typical clock speed of the processor is 3.2GHz, while the turbo clock speed can go up to 6.0GHz. Last but not least, we know that the processor will be based on Raptor Lake Refresh architecture.
Another noteworthy processor in this list is Apple’s A17 Pro, the chip introduced with the latest iPhone 15 Pro models. It secures fifth place after the 14th Generation Intel Core i9 and four iterations of the 13th Generation Intel Core i9. The other desktop processors featured in the list are from AMD. The AMD Ryzen 9 7950X scores 4,316 points in the single-core PassMark test, significantly lower than that of the fastest Intel chipset.
