Honor 90 with 200-megapixel camera could debut in India soon

Honor released the Honor 90 series in China in May. The Honor 90 series included two smartphones that are the standard one and Honor 90 Pro. Now the reports are surfacing online that Honor 90 could debut in India soon, made guess from the price reveal leak. As we know the smartphone has already rolled out in China, so the Honor 90 is expected to launch with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor. 

According to a report by The Mobile Indian, the approximate price of the Honor 90 in India will be around ₹35,000. In this price range, potential competitors for the device include the OnePlus Nord 3 5G, iQoo Neo 7 Pro, and Poco F5 5G.

Talking about the specifications, the Chinese edition of the Honor 90 boasts a curved OLED display measuring 6.7-inches with a FHD+ resolution of 1,200 x 2,664 pixels. It offers a refresh rate of 120Hz and can achieve peak brightness of up to 1,600 nits. 

The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC, combined with a maximum of 16GB RAM and up to 512GB internal storage capacity. The device is fueled by a 5,000mAh battery and supports rapid 66W wired charging.

The Honor 90 is equipped with a triple camera system carrying a 200-megapixel primary camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Additionally, there's a 50-megapixel front camera for selfies. 

If the Honor 90 makes it to India, then it will be the first smartphone in three years to land in India. Honor, formerly a subsidiary of Huawei, withdrew its operations from India in 2020.

Honor 90 was launched in China at a starting price of CNY 2,499 (approx ₹29,000) for the base variant with 12GB + 256GB storage, and goes up to CNY 2,999 (roughly ₹35,017).
