Struggling with poor call quality when your new iPhone 14 Pro is connected to Apple CarPlay? You’re not alone.

Do you use Apple CarPlay frequently for calls and music while travelling? If you do, and you are using the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, then you would have experienced phone call issues. Apple launched its new flagship iPhone 14 series after months of anticipation on September 7 at its annual launch event held at the Steve Jobs Theater. Although the launch went smoothly impressing people all over the world especially with the new “Dynamic Island” notch, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max have suffered a few "issues".

iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro Max users have reported glitches regarding not being able to talk during phone calls connected via Apple CarPlay. User complaint forums across platforms like Reddit, Apple Support and MacRumors were flooded with complaints from early buyers of Apple's newest flagship. A user posted on Apple Support Forum,” I just upgraded to the iPhone 14 pro max and ever since everyone complains they can barely hear me on CarPlay as if I'm whispering and on Bluetooth they say it's louder but sounds like I'm in a wind tunnel and still difficult to hear.”

The issue is persistent in devices running iOS 16.0.1. According to MacRumors, the same issue does not pop up when using a hands-free device for calling. So, it could simply be a software issue with the new release of iOS 16 which Apple could fix later in an update.

iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max users have also complained of several other issues which have plagued their new $999+ smartphones. Several users have witnessed severe camera shaking within third-party apps as well as poor battery life and Airdrop not working. iPhone 14 Pro users even complained of their device becoming unresponsive altogether after transferring data from their old devices to their new iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
