Garmin announced its ECG App is now compatible with its Epix Pro series, Fenix 7 Pro series, Venu 3 series and Tactix 7 smartwatches in the US. Users will be able to take electrocardiogram readings from their supported watches with records for heart rhythm data and check for signs of atrial fibrillation (AFib) and sinus rhythm. The ECG readings will be available directly on the supported Garmin watches as well as on the Garmin Connect smartphone app and can be exported as PDF files.

Users will need to update their Garmin Connect app to the latest version before setting up the ECG feature from the Settings menu on their phone app. Garmin says ECG readings from its watches are comparable in accuracy to single-lead electrocardiogram devices. Garmin's ECG App is currently available in the US, Hong Kong and Vietnam.
