Deals: the Galaxy S24 FE comes with a free watch, the Pixel 9 Pro XL with free TWS buds

The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is a great upgrade over last year’s model and a great device overall. There is the shadow of the Galaxy S24 hanging over it, but the FE is cheaper. Quick aside: the 20% off Galaxy S24+ and S24 Ultra offer from last week is still available.

Amazon is offering a 10% discount on the Galaxy S24 FE (which you will get at checkout) and it has bundled the phone with a free Galaxy Watch FE, which is worth £150 as we’ll see below.

The Galaxy Watch FE is Samsung’s cheapest smartwatch (not counting the Fit3 smart band). The Wi-Fi version is normally £200, but you can get £50 off at checkout.

The Samsung Galaxy A16 5G launched this Friday, so no discounts yet. The phone is still worth a look – it will be supported for 7 years with OS and security updates and it now has an IP54 rating to help it survive that long. The phone comes with an extended 3-year warranty, which helps.

Amazon also offers freebies with the Pixel 9 Pro XL and the Pixel 9 Pro Fold – you can get the Pixel Buds Pro 2 for free, if you buy one of these phones. But since they are currently sitting at MSRP, they are quite expensive.

The Google Pixel Buds Pro are worth £220, so getting them for free is a nice discount, but only if you need new TWS buds.

The Honor Magic6 Lite has a huge 43% discount, but even at its original price of £350, the phone looks more expensive than it really is. It has a curved OLED screen and a faux leather back, which give off a premium feel. In reality, it’s a mid-range device. A pretty good one, mind you, as that 6.78” display has 1,220 x 2,652px resolution, while many in its class go with 1080p+ displays.

And the rear camera has a 108MP sensor in the main module, though the 5MP ultra wide is less inspiring. The 5,300mAh battery gives the phone good endurance. The Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 isn’t ideal, but it’s better than what you normally get at this price.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ is a year old now and Xiaomi never said how long it will be supported. Still, it has a nice discount at the moment and it is equipped with plenty of RAM and storage. The Pro+ model uses the Dimensity 7200 Ultra, is rated IP68 and has 120W charging for its 5,000mAh battery.

You can also get the cheaper Redmi Note 13 Pro. This one has the same 6.67” 12-bit OLED display as its pricier sibling, the same 200+8+2MP camera too. It is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset and a 5,100mAh battery with 67W charging. The Pro is rated IP54 for weaker dust and water resistance.
