Italian motorcycle manufacturer Aprilia has made waves in the Indian two-wheeler market with the launch of a series of motorcycles on Tuesday. The newly launched superbikes come with an impressive naked design with split headlamps revamped features and a lot more among the others.

Aprilia Tuono 660 India Price.

The Aprilia, making a comeback in the Indian market, has been reintroduced at an astonishing price point of Rs. 17.44 Lakh (ex-showroom). Notably, its initial launch in 2021 featured a significantly lower price tag of Rs. 13.09 Lakh, marking a notable difference of Rs. 4.35 Lakh from its current asking price. People who want to buy the Aprilia need to pay half of the total price upfront to reserve one. They might have to wait for about three months or even longer to get their hands on it.

Aprilia Tuono 660 Design And Specifications

The Tuono 660 stands out as a midsize supersport bike, known for its naked design and enhanced comfort compared to its counterpart, the RS 660. It boasts a more relaxed seating posture, making it a preferred choice for riders seeking comfort. While both models share similarities in performance, they differ in ergonomics and power and torque capabilities.

Underneath the Tuono 660 is hooked up with a 659cc parallel twin engine with liquid cool technology, which ensures the calmness of the machine and offers a better performance even at high revs. The engine is capable of producing 94bhp of max power and 61 Nm of peak torque. Furthermore, the beast comes with a 6-speed gearbox supporting a bi-directional quickshift.

While talking about the electronics part of the bike, the Tuono 660 arrives with a 6-axis IMU which offers engine braking control, adjustable wheelie control, and level-three cornering ABS. Other features include riding modes like Dynamic, Commute, Time Attack, and Individual. The motorcycle also comes bundled with cruise control and a gigantic TFT display to make changes to the control and offer better navigation.

The Tuono 660 comes equipped with a 41mm Kayaba USD front fork and an adjustable asymmetric rear monoshock, allowing riders to fine-tune rebound and preload settings. With a generous 120 mm travel for the front suspension and 130 mm for the rear, it promises a smooth ride over various terrains.

Should You Buy The Aprilia Tuono 660?

Now is question is very important because the price tag of the newly launched motorcycle is way too high when it comes to the prices of other 660cc superbikes in India. Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R could be the biggest competition of Aprilia Tuono 660 in India as it comes with a price tag of Rs 11.2 Lakh ex-showroom. On the other hand, Kawasaki Z900 is available for sale in the country for Rs 9.38 Lakh ex-showroom.

There are too many options from brands like Triumph, BMW, Kawasaki, Honda, and more which offer much better features and engines in the same price range and it would be really difficult for Aprilia to compete with them. The company has relaunched the bikes in India after 2021 and it’s making the same mistake which they had made back in time.
