Aprilia has unveiled the highly anticipated RS 457 sport bike at India Bike Week 2023, setting the price at Rs 4.10 lakh (ex-showroom). Positioned to deliver the performance and precision synonymous with larger Aprilia motorcycles at a more accessible price point, the RS 457 marks a significant milestone as the first Aprilia bike manufactured in India. Production takes place at the Piaggio Group’s facility in Baramati, Maharashtra. Enthusiasts can secure their RS 457 by booking online or at Motoplex outlets starting December 15, with deliveries set to commence in March 2024.

Drawing inspiration from its larger sibling, the RS 660, the RS 457 mirrors its design ethos with standout features like the distinctive three-pod LED headlight and other notable highlights. Boasting a nod to Aprilia’s championship heritage, this motorcycle offers enthusiasts a selection of three color schemes to choose from.
The RS 457 is driven by a freshly engineered 457 cc parallel-twin engine, featuring a 270-degree crank, liquid-cooling, and DOHC head construction. This powerhouse produces an impressive peak of 47 bhp and 48 Nm of torque, seamlessly coordinated with a 6-speed gearbox.
Built upon a perimeter frame with a bolt-on subframe, the RS 457 stands out for its sophisticated electronics. It comes equipped with three riding modes, three levels of switchable traction control, dual-channel ABS, and the option for an additional quick-shifter, ensuring a dynamic and customizable riding experience.
When it comes to its cycle components, the RS 457 is equipped with a front suspension featuring a 41 mm USD fork, offering 120 mm of travel, and a rear monoshock with 130 mm of travel, both preload adjustable.
