There will be more differences between Apple iPhone 15 standard and iPhone 15 Pro models, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

Apple just a few days back on September 7 launched iPhone 14 series which included two Pro models- iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max. On comparing the models it can be seen that iPhone 14 Pro models have only a few updates compared to that of iPhone 14 standard models, and now it is being said that Apple will be creating more differentiation between iPhone 15 Pros and iPhone 15 standard models. The information has been provided by Ming-Chi Kuo, analyst at TF International Securities in a series of tweets.

According to the analyst the difference between the iPhone 15 Pro and standard models will be more to increase the Pro shipment allocation and new iPhone ASP. "I believe Apple will create more differentiation between iPhone 15 Pros and iPhone 15 standard models to increase Pro shipment allocation and the new iPhone ASP (average selling price)," Kuo's tweet read.

He further informed that Apple will also start creating differentiation between the iPhone 15 Pro Max and the iPhone 15 Pro in order to generate more sales and profits in a mature market. "Taking a step further, Apple will also start creating differentiation between the iPhone 15 Pro Max and the iPhone 15 Pro. It's the best practice via a precise product segmentation strategy to generate more sales/profits in a mature market," another tweet added.

The analyst also gave reasons why Apple can do the new product segmentation strategy. "One of reasons why Apple can do the new product segmentation strategy is even though hardware innovation has become more challenging and the market has matured, Android camp still poses no threat to Apple in the high-end market due to brand value & ecosystem disadvantages. However, it is worth noting Qualcomm's transfer of high-end SoC orders from Samsung to TSMC, as well as the Android brands/Google's aggressive strategies for foldable phones, may help improve Android camp's disadvantage in the next few years in the high-end market," he tweeted.

Seeing the last few iPhone launches, it is being expected that Apple can launch the iPhone 15 series in the month of September 2023. As there is one year to go, a lot of rumours and leaks will be popping up revealing the expected details of the phone. It is already being said that Apple will keep the design of iPhone 15 models identical to that of iPhone 14 models, with minor changes in the cutouts on the display.
